I did not like anything, first time I use company and for sure it will be the last time, they charge for simple operations that any other average airline wouldn't charge.

I don't think anyone actually reads these comments, so I won't spend much time on this submission. If you want to talk, you know how to reach me. The D/FW manager of Avianca (self-identified), Juan Calderon, insisted I buy an onward ticket from San Salvador even though I have diplomatic status in El Salvador and live here. It cost me $1,393 and Mr Calderon would not let me make the ticked flexible so I could get a refund. He went out of his way to be rude to me. He gave me seat 32K -- windowless window seat in the last row and did not offer to let me upgrade even though there were plenty of seats. I have flown well over a million miles in my life and this is the worst experience I have ever had. I would like a refund on the ticket I was forced to buy. Just awful!

This is the Spirit of Latino travel. And don’t even get me started on customer service.

Boarding was very expedite. The chairs are fixed you can't rest comfortable during the flight.

Same happened in the connecting flight, which was three and a half hours long (Bogota x Miami). First and last time flying with Avianca.

Discomfort has become a feature in Avianca flights. That isn’t terrible on short, local flights (most of them 1-2 Hrs)… but a 7-Hr flight with no water, no coffeee, no nothing (unless you buy it) is just not right. Uncomfortable seats, almost inhuman space between chairs, in long-haul flights needs to be reviewed by airline. And unavailable entertainment system doesn’t help either. Flight was safe and on-time, which isn’t easy to achieve. But all other features aren’t features: they’re a modern way of torture. Avianca really needs to up their game, or bluntly declare: we’re an ultra low-cost airline, and fees will drop accordingly.

No complimentary snacks, food, beverages (even water) blanket and pillow on a 6 hours long flight (economy comfort). A low form of nickeling and diming. Lost a recurring pessanger over a soda. Will never fly Avianca again.

This recognisable no-frills airline gets me from point-A to point-B. I was able to get to Chicago without stress. The checked baggage collection and reclaim could be improved.

The boarding attendant was slightly rude when I asked about checking our stroller. Made me feel like I was bothering her.

On time and fast. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Seats horrible. No way of getting comfortable . But flight ran smoothly

Flight left an hour late because the biometric scanner for check in broke. Instead of checking in people in a traditional way they waited to bring in a new biometric scanner and thus we waited on the plane for an hour while they checked in the rest of the people.

Don’t fly with Spirit unless you wanna be treated like trash. Racist employee too

Lower price not worth it. Delayed missed connection. Would have taken 24 hours to get to Atlanta. No takes your vouchers making them useless. Never again.

Flight left very close to original projected time. Paid for checked bag weight overage (my fault). Plane was literally brand new & this was its 2nd flight. Seats were alittle uncomfortable (I'm 5'11 * 175lbs and was alittle cramped, & brand new seats had little cushion). Food options were good. Main thing was flight took off & landed on time.

Okay, cost of baggage and bidding for a seat is weird.

Only inflight purchases for food and water. Nothing comes with ticket price. Have to purchase bags, food...
